First Root Beer Float

Nat had something to do one night this week, so I decided that - before summer ended - it was time to take Eloise to  Hamburger Heaven on North Avenue in Elmhurst for her first-ever Root Beer Float.   Hamburger Heaven is an old-fashioned Root Beer Stand with a few picnic tables set up.  It is only open during the summer.   Ellie had a hot dog and I had a burger, but she wouldn't share her float!

Think she liked it?

You bet she did.  So much so, that she insisted that I take off the lid so she could slurp out every last drop.  Guess what followed?  Yup.  A milk mustache.  And a huge smile!
